Abstract: |
A desk top survey of the former Green King Brewery was undertaken as part of an archaeological evaluation prior to the submission of a planning application for the development of the site. The report charted the development of the Brewery from the earliest map of 1838 through to the 1990s. Biggleswade lay within an extensive archaeological landscape dating from at least as early as the Bronze Age. The site itself was located immediately to the north of the focus of the medieval market town. [Au(adp)] |
