Abstract: |
The proposed development site sat within an extensive area of dense archaaeology dating to several periods, principally Bronze Age, Iron Age and Romano British. The record indicated a high potential for archaeology within the development area, but that, at least as far as the Bronze Age was concerned, this was unlikley to be directly settlement related. The later period (Iron Age and Romano-British) had little evidence from the site itself, but there were large and important sites particularly to the north-west and the north. In addition, the development areas fen edge position in this period could potentially contribute valuable environmental data. [Au] |
