Abstract: |
Following the identification of possible archaeological remains during a geophysical survey several trenches were excavated. One trench yielded evidence of a Bronze Age ditched enclosure with associated internal features and finds. It was thought to have been used as a livestock enclosure. Within the enclosure were found some as yet unrecognised regional variations of Bronze Age ceramics. Evidence for possible early medieval occupation on the site was revealed in the form of 102 sherds of 11th-12th century pottery. [AIP] |
