Abstract: |
<summary>Evaluation on a site proposed for a commercial retail development revealed that well-preserved medieval and Roman levels were present. These comprised the remains of Roman buildings of probable high status, and medieval structural features of possible industrial origin. Some modern intrusion was located, although this was mostly restricted to known cellared areas on the street frontages. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 4196 |
