Abstract:		 A watching brief revealed the presence of an undated within the site which lay immediately to the northwest of Old Sarum and within the presumed extent of the later medieval settlement of Nyweton Westyate. The ditch was thought to have been associated with the medieval settlement although no dating material was recovered. [AIP]
