Abstract: |
The evaluation, consisting of the excavation of two trial trenches, was undertaken following an application for planning consent for change of use to re-landscape a redundant farm yard and incorporate it into the domestic curtilage. The farmyard straddled the Iron Age defences of Salmonsbury Camp, which was a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Two trenches were excavated along the line of the defensive ditch of Salmonsbury Camp and confirmed the line and effect of disturbance by post-medieval farm buildings on the SAM. [Au(adp)] |
