Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation of the site, consisting of the excavation of a single trench, 15.6m by 2.8m, was undertaken prior to the proposed development of the site. The natural deposits were found to be overlain by a mixed or weathered brickearth which was itself sealed by a worked garden or topsoil. Cutting into the natural brickearth was a north-south gully or ditch, 3m long and 0.5m wide. It contained medieval pottery. [Au(adp)] |
