Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief during groundworks for the construction of an office building identified a thick layer of topsoil overlying a dark grey/brown clayey loam cut by two modern rubbish pits. It was also established that these pits cut through a mortared chalk foundation. A Beverley Ware jug handle of 13th/14th century date was found during the excavation of one of the pits. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
