Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment relating to applications for planning permission for brick clay works in two areas of west Whittlesey: at Bradley Fen and Must Farm. There was potential along parts of the margins of the sites for evidence of Bronze Age and Roman activity. This notwithstanding, only one area within Must Farm was known to have significant remains, and it was considered likely that the rest of the area was archaeologically blank, or that remains were confined to unthreatened areas on the quarry margins. An appropriate programme of field evaluation was suggested. [Au(abr)] |
