Abstract: |
Three trial trenches were excavated in advance of the proposed construction of residential dwellings with associated access, landscaping and services. Desk-based assessment had revealed the site to have been largely in agricultural use over the last 250 years. Despite the proximity to the reputed course of the Roman fen causeway, and the presence of the site on the edge of the March 'island', no archaeological features or finds were identified. [Au(adp)] |
