Abstract: |
The reduction of the ground level and the excavation of the foundation trenches revealed evidence of probable medieval archaeological features cut in to the natural clays. The remains of a possible structure orientated south-west to the north-east were identified along with several small pits and a boundary division in the western area of the site. The central and eastern areas of the site demonstrated the presence of more recent activity in the form of waste material and ground levelling which appeared to have truncated any earlier deposits. No dateable artefacts were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
