Abstract: |
A watching brief with option to excavate was carried out on fourteen trenches. Prehistoric features and deposits were found comprising of pits and layers containing flint and pottery. Middle Saxon features were present in four trenches and included stake holes, post holes, a pit and features of uncertain function. The Middle Saxon features contained daub, pottery, mammal bones, oyster shells and charcoal. Evidence for working bone and antler, textile production and metalworking was also found. [Au(abr)] |
