Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of a proposed redevelopment site was carried out. The site of a medieval farm lay in the near vicinity, and remains dating from Neolithic to Roman times had been recorded in the surrounding area. Engineers' boreholes had revealed a horizon of Tilbury IV peat over much of the site, indicating potential for Bronze Age and Iron Age remains. It was concluded that further archaeological work would be necessary.[AIP] |
