Abstract: |
Desk-based study was undertaken for land proposed for a public house development on the west side of Farndon Road. The study identified that the Roman road, the Fosse Way, and part of Newark's Civil War defences proably survived within the proposal area whilst potentially prehistoric and other Roman remains might also exist on the site.
