Abstract: |
The proposed site for the extraction of clay was situated next to a previously excavated area producing Mesolithic and prehistoric artefacts. The study area had a prehistoric or Romano-British enclosure recorded in the north-western part of the site. This enclosure was identified by cropmarks in aerial photographs. Two buildings comprising Lodge Farm were also located within the study area. [Au(abr)] |
