Abstract: |
During the course of the watching brief no archaeological remains were recovered. The Roman road that was assumed to run through the site, by a projected line from its surviving remains, was not observed in any of the trenches. This may have been destroyed by the foundations of the previous building upon the site, or it may have run straight from the remains that survived diverting en route, therefore the groundworks not being placed in its path.[Au(abr)] |
