Abstract: |
A watching brief during ground works produced two Romano-British pottery sherds. Close to the entrance of The Farm an existing boundary ditch was found to overlie a deep broad ditch of unknown extent, interpreted as a large boundary ditch or possibly a medieval homestead moat. A fill at the edge of the early ditch produced six pieces of fired clay which may have derived from an oven or hearth. [Au] |
