Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out on land on the western side of Wolverhampton University. The site was partially situated on the former 19th century overflow burial ground for St Peter's Church. The burial records and mapping evidence of the area, provided an estimate of about 1600 bodies in the area, although due to clearance work in the 1970's, this figure was likely to have been severely reduced. However any groundworks were likely to encounter burials. [Au(abr)] |
