Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief on land to the west of Elizabeth Court, Louise Close, Walton-on-the-Naze, revealed no activity from before the post-medieval period. The whole of the area investigated had been made up, probably in the Victorian period, in order to create a fairly level garden. An additional make up layer was provided by waste material from the construction of Elizabeth Court. [Au] |
