Abstract: |
In response to a proposed 'change of use' application for the conversion of three disused farm buildings at Little Pinnock farm in Tywardreath parish, a building survey was undertaken. It was obvious that a considerable amount of detail regarding both historical phasing of the architecture, and the changing function of the three buildings had been preserved. The first was a multi-purpose agricultural building which pre-dated 1839, it had extensions and numerous extensive repairs. The second building surveyed was a later medieval dwelling house, re-used as a farm building and the third, again pre-1839 and currently in use as a cow shed. In addition to the three buildings were the remains of earlier buildings, plus evidence for later agriculture-related additions. [Au(adp)] |
