Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were excavated on land proposed for development adjacent to the KSR International Works at King Cliffe. The work was designed both to examine the nature of the linear features known from aerial photographs and to investigate the significance of previously recorded patches of burning residue and iron slag associated with magnetic anomalies. The trial trenching exposed sections of undated ditches below some of the cropmarks. No features were associated with the burnt areas and scatters of metal slag. [Au] |
