Abstract: |
The evaluation identified a single broad phase of medieval activity on the site with a focus towards the road at the north. No archaeological activity earlier than the 10th century was observed. In the 11th to 14th centuries a building or buildings were probably sited fronting the road. There was little reason to suppose that the land use in the 11 to 14th centuries on the site was not for a domestic structure standing within a small area of open ground. [Au(adp)] |
