Abstract: |
The archaeological excavation confirmed that the site, from the medieval period at least, had been used for agriculture, as arable land until the 14th century and until the 19th century as pasture. Features observed within the vicinity of the site dating to the early medieval period included ditches containing 11th to 12th century as well as 13th-14th century pottery, pits, a post hole and a lynchet.[AIP] |
