Abstract: |
No archaeological features were recorded within the study area. The site lay adjacent and to the west of the Heathcote Home Farm site, which had been subject to several phases of archaeological investigation during the 1990s. An Iron Age banjo enclosure was known on the site and several scatters of prehistoric flint had been recorded nearby. Undated cropmark sites of possible prehistoric date had been recorded from aerial photographs. The deserted medieval settlement of Heathcote was also thought to lie in the vicinity. [Au(abr)] |
