Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over the stripping of two fields being developed as part of a 'Millennium Greens' project funded by the National Lottery. No archaeological evidence was visible when the fields were stripped, and the ridge and furrow and rabbit warrens previously recognised on the site were preserved in situ. As the land was to be used for recreational purposes only, it seemed unlikely that either of these remains would be threatened, and therefore further archaeological fieldwork or research was considered unecessary.
