Abstract: |
The evaluation of the farm yard by trial trenching found little evidence to suggest the presence of earlier occupants or periods of use. Terracing and levelling, or the erection of buildings within the farmyard, would most probably have destroyed the bulk of any other archaeological evidence. The locality of the site was therefore likely to have been outside the boundary of occupation related to the medieval village of Combe Florey. [Au(adp)] |
