Abstract: |
The assessment was carried out in advance of proposed redevelopment of the site, which contained a petrol station. The site lay within a lansdcape containing various archaeological remains and was also within a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The results revealed that the site has been subject to considerable modern disturbance and previous archaeological recording had revealed no significant archaeology. It therefore seems likely that the site did not contain any significant archaeological deposits. [Au(adp)] |
