Abstract: |
<summary>A sample excavation and watching brief were undertaken on the proposed permanent access route. Archaeological interest centred upon one of the tumbled field walls identified in previous survey work, one of the aims being to establish its relationship with existing field walls. Unfortunately, the existing wall had been dismantled prior to archaeological investigation being commenced. No relationship between the two walls could be ascertained. The watching brief revealed a number of potential features, all of which proved to be natural in origin. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
