Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed major boundary ditches on the development site, which delineated medieval tenements running back from the street frontage. The site showed evidence of medieval occupation from the 11th century and traces of a timber building were recorded in one trench. The site appeared to have become farmland in the post-medieval period although some plot boundaries were recorded on 18th century maps. [Au(abr)] |
