Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording confirmed the survival of former building foundations on both sides of Exe Street and within Howell Road Car Park. However, no remains or deposits earlier than the late 17th or 18th century were revealed. The majority of the deposits consisted of modern make-up and there was disturbance or redeposited material in all areas. The culverted Longbrook could only be inspected in Exe Street, where a small section of it was recorded. [Au(adp)] |
