Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on the proposed development and on the house environs. The hall was a 19th century Listed Building and its grounds incorporated the remains of St John's priory and its associated ponds. A mound was also identified which was either spoil from canal cutting or the remains of a 12th century seige motte. [Au(abr)] |
