Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken in response to a planning application renewal for housing development. This area was in the probable medieval centre of the village and a known earthwork also crossed the site. Two trenches were excavated and features with no obvious post-medieval material in their fills were excavated to gain dating evidence. The observed earthworks were proven to be from a demolished house. Medieval and post-medieval features and finds were recovered. One Late Iron Age sherd was also recovered. [AIP] |
