Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site. Prehistoric finds had been recorded in the surrounding area, and the route of a Roman road passed 500m to the west. An early medieval settlement had been excavated nearby, and a medieval manor may have lain in the vicinity. During the evaluation, late 18th or 19th century pottery and stoneware kiln furniture was recovered. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary. [AIP] |
