Abstract: |
A single trial trench was excavated as part of an archaeological evaluation prior to the determination of planning permission for the development of the site. Post holes and gullies probably relating to the construction and demolition of wooden buildings were recorded. They were dated to between the mid-11th and early 13th centuries on the basis of the pottery assemblage, although there was also some evidence for later medieval occupation. The environmental evidence was limited. [Au(adp)] |
