Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for a mobile telephone mast. The work revealed a mixed rubbish deposit containing 19th and 20th century finds including stoneware jars. River deposits were recorded containing numerous fragments of burnt and worked flint, including a platform core of probable Mesolithic-Neolithic date and a fragment of burnt flint-tempered pottery of probable Late Bronze Age-Early Iron Age date.
