Abstract: |
A documentary search and magnetometer survey were undertaken. The documentary search identified the fact that the proposed development site lay within an area of particular archaeological interest, with Neolithic and Bronze Age barrow cemeteries lying close to the site. A single prehistoric flint arrowhead was also revealed which suggested activity from that time. The geophysical survey confirmed the presence of anthropogenic material within the soils and some potential features in the northern part of the site were identified. [AIP] |
