Abstract: |
A total of four trenches were excavated within the site, three within existing buildings and one within an open parking area. Structural remains in the form of stone flag/cobble floors, and brick stone walls were identified across the site. Deposits uncovered date from the 17th century through to the modern period. A pre-existing retaining wall was identified in the southern part of the site. It was recommended that a scheme of phased archaeological works be undertaken to preserve by record the archaeological resource present on the site. [Au(abr)] |
