Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during topsoil stripping in advance of pipeline construction. The scheme crossed through an area where five round barrows have been recorded. With the exception of the recovery of prehistoric worked flint, no archaeological features or deposits associated with the former burial mounds, or for satellite funerary or settlement deposits, were found.
