Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was conducted in advance of a proposed development. Two trenches revealed no structural remains relating to the medieval village of Beadnell. Archaeological features of a probable post-medieval date were recorded in both trenches, probably related to enclosure and possible crop cultivation. Further archaeological monitoring was recommended due to early maps which suggested that the site was located over former building plots. [Au(adp)] |
