Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks associated with the construction of storm and foul drains. The proposed groundworks lay within an area of archaeological potential. The site lay within close proximity to Harborough Banks believed to represent a univallate hillfort. No features of archaeological interest were encountered during any of the intrusive groundworks carried out on the site. However, one sherd of unstratified late prehistoric pottery was retrieved from the topsoil. [Au(abr)] |
