Abstract: |
Excavations within the area of the Scheduled Ancient Monument - Hereford City Defences were undertaken. Features relating to the medieval earth ramparts were revealed as well as deposits related to the gradual collapse of the defences. It was recognised that the potential existed for the survival of the Saxon defences sealed below the medieval layers. [AIP] |
