Abstract: |
A detailed magnetometer survey was carried out at the site of a proposed windfarm. Linear infilled ditches were identified throughout the area. Collectively these ditches were part of a system of land division comprising fields, enclosures and trackways that extended to the north of the present site as evidenced by cropmarks. This activity probably dated to the Late Iron Age or Romano-British period. Some had suffered truncation by modern ploughing. [Au(adp)] |
