Abstract: |
The evaluation did not reveal any significant archaeological remains, although there were a series of post-medieval deposits. These included a possible earlier post-medieval garden path and a pit with pottery dating from the 17th to the 19th centuries. There was one find of intrinsic interest, in the form of part of a 17th century tin-glazed polychrome dish. This was decorated with a sea creature, probably a whale or dolphin. [Au(abr)] |
