Abstract: |
Two trenches measuring 35m x 1.5m and 16m x 1.5m were excavated. A series of medieval and post-medieval deposits and features were identified, indicating the site had been previously used for back plots of the contemporary street frontage from the late Saxon period onwards. These included parallel ditched gullies and a later post-medieval/modern unlined well or large pit. [Au(adp)] |
