Abstract: |
The watching brief was maintained during the excavation of six pits which formed part of a structural survey. Due to the shallow nature of the pits only 18th and 19th century deposits were encountered. The 18th century remains consisted of a greeny brown gravelly deposit, a possible garden path and thick dumping. The 19th century remains consisted of a standing building and associated features. Information from the building contractor indicated that a backfilled basement was possibly associated with the standing building. [AIP] |
