Abstract: |
Archaeological observation of groundworks associated with the laying of an underground electricity cable, led to the recording of four post-medievalstructures at New Mills, site of a 19th century ironworks. These comprised of two culverts, one of brick, the other iron roofed, both associated with a an adjacent mill pond and the remains of two stone walls in the the location of a railway siding. A further culvert was also recorded. [Au(adp)] |
