Abstract: |
The timbers salvaged from the river were recorded and thought to be either bridge supports or part of a bank revetment. Two tie pieces were also recovered and these were used to tie piles and other reveting timbers into the bank. They are thought to have been commonly used in the River Wey navigations. [Au(adp)] |
