The Gosport Railway Station, a Grade II Listed building, was in remarkable condition with the survival of some of the earliest structures and the good survival of its original plan. The station opened in 1841 and carried passengers until 1953 and in 1969 the goods service ceased and the station closed. [Au(abr)] |
