Abstract: |
Despite the proximity of the site to the Scheduled Ancient Monuments of Little Chester Roman Fort and the site of a 4th century building, no archaeological remains from the Romano-British period were discovered. It is possible that archaeology was deeply buried under silt, that there was no Romano-British occupation on the site, or that later earth-moving removed any archaeological deposits.[AIP] |
