Abstract: |
The excavation of foundation trenches to the rear of the site was archaeologically monitored. In the single L-shaped area excavated much of the stratigraphy had been damaged or destroyed by modern service trenches. The northeast side of the excavation did, however, penetrate deposits believed to be of archaeological interest. These were all thought to be related to agricultural or horticultural activity of the medieval and post-medieval periods and no structures or features of archaeological significance were noted.
